For this year’s Record Store Day, Beach House have announced plans to release an exclusive Zebra EP in conjunction with the annual event. On it, will be a U.K. edited edition of the track “Zebra” off of their fascinating latest LP Teen Dream, along with a remix of “10 Mile Stereo” from Cough Syrup, and two additional new songs. The first, “The Arrangement,” can be heard below — ripped from a SIRIUS XMU live session — while the second, “Baby,” has yet to be revealed.

DOWNLOAD MP3: Little Girls – “10 Mile Stereo” (Beach House Cover)

Choosing to cover a song that’s practically perfect from the get-go isn’t usually the wisest thing to do, unless of course you happen to be Little Girls. Covering Beach House’s “10 Mile Stereo,” off of their astonishing latest album Teen Dream — which was reviewed by us last week — this rendition stays pretty loyal to it’s foundation, only Josh McIntyre’s distant lyrics go on to make the song far more shadowy and chaotic.

By the first week of 2009, the best album of the year – Animal Collective’s triumphant Merriweather Post Pavilion – had made its presence felt. In 2010, artists are seriously slacking. I mean, it took nearly three weeks of the new year for a very strong contender in this year’s race of “Best of’s…” to drop! (Even if it did leak nearly two months ago.) C’mon!

Beach House stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Friday to bring their latest — “Zebra” — from Teen Dream, which is due tomorrow via Sub Pop. Check out Victoria Legrand rocking out on those keys (questionably, a bit too hard?)

With Beach House’s new album Teen Dream set to release in a little over a week, NPR is offering an exclusive first listen, where you can stream the entire album beginning today. Check here to listen to it now. Teen Dream will be out on January 19 via Sub-Pop.

In celebration of Beach House’s mesmerizing new album Teen Dream — set to drop on January 26 via Sub Pop — Beach House is working in unison with fellow blogger Gorilla vs. Bear to premiere a new musical video every day of this week. Each video is created through a different director, and will be featured on the free DVD included when purchasing the CD or LP. To kick things off is a video for the sixth track off of Teen Dream entitled: “Lover of Mine”, which was directed by Sean Honey. Pre-order the CD/2xLP here and check out the video now @ GvsB.

With one of the most anticipated albums of the year set to release in two weeks, Beach House has revealed a more in-depth tour schedule that will also see glo-fi artist Washed Out heading out in support. This especially comes as a surprise, considering the fact that in an interview last year with Pitchfork, Washed out stated that he “really wasn’t interested in touring”. Apparently, Beach House convinced him otherwise, at least for their southern leg of the tour. Grizzly Bear will be along for a few as well. All dates below:

“Silver Soul” appears before “Norway” on Teen Dream and also acts as a precursor for Beach House’s first released amazing single “Norway”, with a sustained organ riff that continues on through from one song to the next. Both songs are pretty damn solid, and while “Norway” flourishes in sweeping harmonies, “Silver Soul” is more of a transient experience, sounding a bit less radical but equally as impressive. Check out the song right now, which is streaming at Aziz Ansari’s blog 

Teen Dream will be dropping on January 26th via Sub pop

Beach House offer their latest single “Norway” – which is set to appear on their forthcoming Sub Pup debut due in store  on January 26th - Teen Dream, unwilling to withdraw their whimsical, dream-pop touches. Weaving in and out, Victoria Legrand’s vocals on “Norway” beautifully submerges the listener into far off realms of transience all over a droning, dissonant organ chord. I will shut up now.
