With their debut LP dropping yesterday, the Danger Mouse/James Mercery established Broken Bells dropped by The Late Show with David Letterman last night to perform the albums first single “The High Road”.

Mouse on percussion and Mercer on an acoustic, the two (along with some help) executed the standout track with impressive precision, but unfortunately, left the concluding bridge to the track out — one of my, and I’m sure many peoples favorite sections of the song.

Letterman ranted about the album’s packaging, while Mouse and Mercer stood in the background, looking rather unamused, most likely due to the sudden and unexpected death of their close friend Mark Linkous of Sparklehorse. Nice going Dave. Check out the video below.
