Former Moldy Peaches frontman Adam Green has a new album titled: Minor Love due out on February 16 via Fat Possum. The first track to be released off the album is “Castles” and Tassels,” an acoustic, consciously quirky song, that finds Green declaring: “Castles and tassels and flatulent assholes, I love you” in a very Stephin Merritt-y kinda way. Yeah, it doesn’t get much better than that.
Green has a mondo European tour plan through March that can be seen here on his Myspace, but no word yet on any U.S. Dates.

Here is a video trailer for the forthcoming documentary about Stephin Merritt and the Magnetic Fields entitled: Strange Powers: Stephin Merritt and the Magnetic Fields. The film is set to debut on February 28 at the San Francisco Film Society, with screenings in other cities TBA.
Check out the cameo spots from Peter Gabriel and Sarah Silverman as well! That earned them a whole extra 100 cool points alone, unless, that’s what they were in search for in the first place?

The Magnetic Fields Touring the U.S.

In support of their new album Realism – set to drop on January 26th – the iconic, largely followed cult band the Magnetic Fields will be hitting the road through February and March. Tickets will most likely go rapidly fast and Stephen Merritt will most likely be wallowing in his tenderhearted depression for each show. That, my friends, you cannot put a price tag on.
